Prologis opens up more opportunities to Czech customers with new Chrášťany DC3 development
What should a truly great logistics facility deliver? Excellent locations with easy last-mile access to major consumer centers are of paramount importance to many Prologis customers. We also understand the need to create warehouse spaces that perfectly respond to the specific requirements of customers’ businesses, helping them operate more efficiently and grow.
Our latest speculative development at Prologis Park Prague-Chrášťany will deliver all this and more, opening up more space at one of the Czech Republic’s hottest logistics real estate locations to more customers. Construction has begun on a new DC3 building, adding to the two buildings already in operation at the site.
As the last speculative development to be undertaken at Chrášťany, DC3 will take the park to full development. Buildings DC1 and DC2 are already delivering all the benefits of a great location and cutting-edge tailored warehousing technologies to customers operating in the fields of e-commerce, such as Rohlik.cz, or in the provision of complex shipping services.
DC3 will include 5,104 square meters of warehouse space, 333 square meters of office space and social areas, and 954 square meters of external storage. The building will be ready to start operations in the second half of 2024, complete with sustainable features saving customers money while protecting the environment. These will include heat pumps, a roof that’s ready for a photovoltaic installation, smart LED lighting with motion and daylight intensity sensors, and a smart metering system for maximized efficiency in utilities consumption. Similar to all recently-completed Prologis’ development, DC3 at Prologis Park Prague-Chrášťany will be submitted for BREEAM accreditation.
“Customers who we welcome to DC3 at Prologis Park Prague-Chrášťany will benefit from logistics spaces built according to the highest standards of today,” says Kateřina Březinová, Leasing and Customer Experience Manager at Prologis. “The park provides perfect transport connections to the capital, making it one of the Czech Republic’s most optimal last-mile logistics bases. For businesses seeking warehouse space that will help them make the most of the huge potential afforded by Prague, there’s simply no better option.”
Located directly at the entrance to the Prague city ring road alongside the D5 highway, the park is also ideally situated for serving international markets, with Prague’s Václav Havel Airport only a 10-minute drive away.
The strength of this location, as well as the sustainability features embedded in the development and the innovative logistics operations already being undertaken at the park, has rapidly made Prologis Park Prague-Chrášťany one of the Czech Republic’s most prestigious logistics bases.
